On Monday February 5, 2007, we held the 2007 Delaware County Shakespeare Monologue Competition for homeschoolers. This competition is the first step, with the winner going to the regional competition in downtown Philadelphia, that winner going to the national trials in New York, and the national winner receiving a trip to Great Britain. The contest is sponsored by the ESUUS (English Speaking Union, United States) (official 2007 contest web page.)
The contest is for 10-12th graders, but to encourage future talent we began with a non-judged recital hour of Shakespeare monologues for 6-9th graders. Here are links with photos of the winners 2006 and 2005. Please join us next year!
