PBL 1: Functional Genes

Estimates of the number of functional genes in the human genome range from 30,000 to over 50,000. Given the known sequence of base pairs in the human genome, state one or more criteria that might be used to identify functional genes, and give a strategy by which these genes could be located and enumerated.
