Reflections on
Augustine's Spirituality |
Friendship and Society:
Introduction to Augustine's Practical Philosophy
BIBLIOGRAPHY
A. OTHER BIBLIOGRAPHIES
Since this book is aimed at English-speaking students of Augustine, this bibliography emphasizes sources in English. Obviously there are many valuable sources in other languages. The most complete on-going bibliography of world-wide research on Augustine is found in the annual bibliography published in the Revue des Études Augustiniennes. A useful index of articles and bibliography from the 1955-1984 issues of this periodical was prepared by Henri Rochais and Goulven Madec and published through the Revue in 1986. The bibliography for each year from 1985 up to the present time appears in the on-going volumes of this periodical.
Other useful bibliographies include the following:
Donnelly, Dorothy & Sherman, Mark, Augustine's "De Civitate Dei:" An Annotated Bibliography, New York: Peter Lang, 1991.
